We do not collect or store any of the following:

• Your name, email, or contact information
• Your location
• Device identifiers (IDFA, Android ID)
• Vehicle identification number (VIN)
• Payment information (all transactions are handled by the App Store)

The BimmerLight app works entirely on your mobile device. We do not operate any servers and do not collect personal data.

2. What We Do Process

We use a third-party analytics tool to improve the app’s performance and understand user behavior:

Amplitude: We collect anonymous usage data (e.g. session length, screens viewed). This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you. For more information, please see the Amplitude Privacy Policy.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, our legal basis for processing analytics data is your consent.

Consent is obtained when you press the “Connect” button on the Welcome screen of the app, which indicates agreement with our Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

• All configuration data is stored locally on your device.
• There is no cloud storage or user database.
• The app includes protections to prevent unauthorized access to files or modules related to your BMW vehicle.

5. Data Retention

We do not store any personal data. Analytics data is stored by Amplitude in accordance with their retention policy.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights including:

• Right to access your data

• Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
• Right to restrict or object to processing
